Welcome to Guardian Angel

Welcome to our parish

Bienvenidos a nuestra parroquia

Witamy w naszej parafii

Вітаємо в нашіїй парафії

Сардэчна запрашаем у нашу парафію

Добро пожаловать в наш приход

For nearly a century, our parish has shared the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are richly blessed with a multicultural diversity that allows us to serve those thirsty and hungry for the sustenance of our Lord.

Allow us to serve you and share with you and your loved ones the richness of our liturgies and our vibrant cultural and social activities. We invite you to be our guest this Sunday.

Our Mission

The parish of Guardian Angel, at Brighton Beach, is committed to building the church of God through a diversified community of American, Indian, Spanish, Filipino, Polish, and other faithful witnesses to the Gospel of Jesus, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Through gratitude and thanksgiving to God, we seek to enrich our parish by the sharing of our time, talent, and treasure. A Christian Steward “receives Gods gifts gratefully, cultivates them responsibly, shares them lovingly in justice with others, and returns them with increase to the Lord”.

Stewardship, A Way of Life

We are invited to spend some time in prayer, asking how our spirituality is being expressed in some form of ministry.

What direction this conversation takes is between ourselves and the Lord.

Are we being invited in some special way to share our gifts and talents with our parish family at Guardian Angel?

Our Action Plan is a description of the ministry opportunities at our parish. It is meant to help us consider how we can best help our parish. It is also an opportunity to get new ministries started.

The Plan for Stewardship Action at Guardian Angel Church:

A Life of Prayer…

+ Have more Extraordinary Ministries of Holy Communion
+ Continue to provide fruitful Sunday liturgies
+ Evangelize through retreats: days or evenings of faith-sharing or recollection

A Life of Sharing…

+ Support and expand adult education programs and presentations
+ Invite additional catechists to enhance the religious education programs
+ Increase adult participation in youth programs, both social and athletic
+ Create initiatives to encourage the return of inactive Catholics
+ Improve the welcoming of, and communication with new parish members
+ Increase the number of registered families

A Life of Ministry…

+ Reorganize the program that provides communication to the homebound
+ Enhance the ministry of consolation
+ Continue health-related community services
+ Increase participation in our ministries
+ Reach and serve the community by expanding and enhancing methods of distributing parish-related info
+ Establish a committed custodial staff for the parish hall, meeting rooms, and church

A Life of Action…

+ Follow Christ in His concern for the life, health, and spiritual welfare of all human beings
+ Cherish and support our God-given gifts: our families, our natural environment, and our cultural heritage
+ Share our time and talent as good stewards for the benefit of others (homebound, elderly, orphans)
+ Live as Christians, aware of our potential to fulfill God’s will, each in our own way
